Goudey’s 896 is a fast dry, one-component, nitrocellulose-based high solids black undercoat formulated to use underneath of all Goudey 900 Series traditional lacquer topcoats for interior wood surfaces. This product has excellent adhesion to many wood species and exhibits outstanding holdout property on porous woods. It sands properly providing an excellent base to achieve a smooth surface after top-coating.
